"...there's an omen can you hear it play?
There's a woman setting fire ablaze
Brazen fire, broken wood
Smoking black and fertile ground
There's a call to surrender, her plea to survive
[but] she's burning fire "-är
When I sat down to write this song, I was in the midst of releasing inexplicable feelings and undulating passion that danced in the forefront of my mind, heart and all over my body. And as the imagery poured from my lips, I could feel the heat under my skin rising while my hairs stood and gave it recognition. I was engulfed and channeled nature's grace. I discovered understanding; understanding of my innate processing and outward eminence. And instead of assess them from the ego state - I journeyed into the realms of creation to find the source of my flying embers. And there she was...
She's Burning Fire
Lets talk about the element, fire. It is believed to be an essential to life. It's powerful yet unpredictable; its creative and destructive. Fire, unlike the other element, can only form and take its place by consuming some other element. This is because fire is the transformer, converting the energy of other matter into other forms such as heat, light, ash, and smoke.
Fire is a masculine element with powerful aspects of drive, change, emotion, passion, creativity, transformation, renewal, and sensuality just to name a few. It is active and never still; purely in constant motion. Its purifying & gives fullness and life its force; and as I delved deeper into the nature of my fervor, expression and reception, I found myself dancing in my flames and on the precipice of major change.
"Flamed fields with its heated rush
Dampen the distant cries with its heated touch
Smell of the pine and the green brush
Her silhouette bringing the forest, forest to its dust"
The alchemist’s laboratory is his or her own body; and when the alchemist, or magician, assimilates with the nature of fire - evolution, transmutation, renewal and the power of initiation is at their fingertips. That's a lot of magic; and when it's mastered - the creation of any object of desire can be realized. It is sheer enchantment and has the ability to sweep you into majestic terrains of realization and art of true manifestation.
Fire of the cosmos
Each of the four elements presents a cardinal expression, a fixed expression, and a mutable expression. Four elements multiplied by three modalities results in twelve distinct energy fields and thus, twelve different formations (such as zodiac signs, for example). In referencing the zodiac, even though Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, are all fire signs, they each represent a different archetype.
The aries signifies the warrior or "warrioress". Leo embodies the queen or king, who is protected by the warrior. And Sagittarius connotes the prophet or adviser, who insures the upholding of the ethics of both the warrior and the queen/king.
Fire people (fire signs) are courageous and lively spirits. Their ability to persevere is idolized in the sense of their call to burn brighter in troubled times, as if adversity were mere kindling for them to smite.
There is in every true woman's heart a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which kindles up, and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.
- Washington Irving
The presence of fire's flame is undenied. Masters of consciousness, such as Jesus, acknowledged this in biblical writings regarding his works and the works of his source.
“I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Luke 3:16).
So, with all of this energy, force and power, the question then becomes...
How are you using your flames?
Smoke rises and renewal is here; and it take over.
And like a phoenix, you rise from the ashes of the past and ascend into your highest breadth.
You are burning fire.
And I invite you, here and now, to allow the inspiration you need to seep into your body. Feel it in your muscles and tissue; feel it free your bones from oppression. You breathe fire from the heat in your belly and wield it with the torch in your hand. It's accessible to you, if you desire. But know that the magnitude of its strength should be carefully managed and respected for it can be viciously destructive in the wrong hands; in the wrong field of consciousness (fire people understand this very well).
Fire can give life and take it away; and when this understanding is mastered - it aids in the necessary cycle of life's death and rebirth.
So, I will ask again. How are you using your flames? How are you moving in your world and creating necessary movement and change?
Come and ignite in the quarters of infinite, creative and transformative motion. A true gift of nature that burns bright without hesitation...
And with this, I forward you a light. Find your flames, beloveds.
